The Spokane Club is a historic hotel offering a central location and a range of amenities, including a fitness center and restaurant. While many guests appreciate its charm and convenient location, recurring issues with dated rooms, uncomfortable beds, and inconsistent service are evident in recent reviews.
Great hotel. The room was awesome and the bed amazing. Great vibe and the front desk host, Nick was amazing.
I've been here for two of my mother's company holiday parties. Great food and service.
Well, we purchased our room through southwest as a recommended property. The staff was great, as was the location to downtown Spokane. However, the only updating was most likely the software for the front desk. Heading into the property we had to ring in through the first set of double doors. For a good reason too. First impression is this is a boutique hotel and very old. Smells old, because it is. The carpets were thick and covered the uneven floors well. We were on the third floor and had a decent view. In our room was another story, had a large flat-screen tv, with impossible controls and zero instructions. It takes 2 remote controls to operate the tv. We had to call the front desk to have someone to simply put it on local TV. PITA if you know what I mean. We booked two nights stay. But left the following morning. The beds are thrashed and most likely leftover from expo 74. The beds are worn out. Definite swails in the bed with the springs identifiable as done a long time ago. We were offered another room, but upon inspection, had the same issues of worn out beds. It was impossible to sleep on, and in no way should have been rented for premium dollar. IWhen we left in the morning, the neighborhood was littered with homeless folks trying to survive feet from the hotel and most likely the reason for the security doors. If I was the management, I would use my review to make a deal with the local mattress manufacturer for new beds. I do not recommend the Spokane club for staying the night.
Great club. Welcoming to members and guests alike. Very historic beautiful building right in downtown Spokane. Has lots to offer!
It just needs a closer and rebrand of a different entity. Mold in the caulking in the showers, frequently unstocked in the restrooms, restaurant service (if you get any) is a 1 star. I’m sure this use to be the place but you can find a lot better places out there to spend 400$ a month for a family. If it were 150$, it may make sense.
We had a lovely stay at the hotel. Brianna is truly an exceptional human being. She brings a calm and cool vibe about her, while also being very professional in the process. I felt comfortable the moment I walked in. She went above and beyond for us to ensure our comfortability during our stay! So thank you Brianna! The rooms are lovely, clean, with working AC. Would definitely go back.
Great location for hoopfest! Place is great. Had a one queen room. Separate parking garage down the street which costs $14 per day but very secure. Close to downtown shopping, food, and entertainment.
This is only place I stay when I come to Spokane for the last 30 years. A gorgeous 115 year-old hotel and a state of the art three story fitness center on the opposite block overlooking The Spokane Riverwith a walkway adjoining the hotel to the fitness center. Great restaurant and bar and super nice staff. I highly recommend it.
I honestly don’t even know where to start. First of all, the parking situation is ridiculous—you have to leave your car blocks away in a sketchy neighborhood and hope it’s still there in the morning. Once inside, things only get worse. The bathroom had broken tiles *and* an actual hole in the floor. Not even exaggerating—*a hole.* The furniture looks like it was pulled from a garage sale in 1974, and not in a charming vintage way—just old, dingy, and depressing. The whole place feels like it hasn’t been cleaned or updated in decades. Everything is super dated, and the vibe is honestly bizarre. I sent an email to management but never heard back.
Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing and we cannot recommend it. Two months prior to our scheduled arrival, we made a confirmed booking through their online portal. Upon arrival, we were informed that our reservation had been cancelled due to alleged attempts to contact us. Initially, the staff stated they had no contact information for our booking. However, after presenting our confirmation email, which clearly displayed both our email address and phone number, they claimed to have sent cancellation notifications to a different, incorrect email address. Despite the clear error on their part, the staff offered no assistance or resolution. We were left to find alternative accommodations at the last minute, resulting in significant inconvenience and a doubling of our expected hotel costs. This situation reflects a severe lack of organization, communication, and customer service. We strongly advise potential guests to exercise caution when booking with this establishment.
