Guests consistently praise the newly remodeled rooms, updated amenities, and the exceptional friendliness of the staff. The hotel is widely recommended for families and business travelers seeking a clean, safe, and comfortable stay near the Washington-Idaho border.
Had a birthday party for my daughter here. The rooms were very clean, the pool area was great, and the kids had a lot of fun. The staff was very helpful. The manager, Heather, was very accommodating and attentive to all the requests we had for the party and ensuring our stay was the best!
This place has potential, but it isn't there yet. Booked here with full intention to have my kids play in the pool and wasn't told until check in that the pool was down. Was not offered a discount, which I found disappointing. Newer items and comfy furnishings, but lots of little things wrong: No difference between hot and cold on the sink, phone in our room didn't work (so we had to walk down to the front desk twice when things were wrong in our room); also our room had 2 tvs, but only one remote. Hide-a-bed still had the factory plastic all over it and they didn't even provide a fitted sheet. The room was big and they are heading in a right direction, but I wish that I stayed a half of a mile up the road for less money and a complete stay.
Great niche hotel near the ID/WA state line. Would definitely stay again. Loved to 2 room suite setup. It was very convenient for our 4 person party that had different events and schedules.
I've been staying at Garner since before it was Garner/IGH. It's improved over time with the overall quality of the hotel the best I've seen yet. All of the transition construction is finished, which certainly helps! The rooms are comfortable, particularly the beds, with pillows labeled soft and hard. There is a fridge and a microwave in each room. The lobby has a coffee maker that grinds coffee before brewing each cup. It's available all day as is water (this last week was cucumber water). There is breakfast in the AM - it's early - 6am to 9am, or 9:30 on weekends. I'm an early riser so that works for me. The food is great! Scrambled eggs (fresh), sausage links or patties and sausage crumbles. You can make a breakfast bowl, or burritos/tacos (flour tortillas are available). There is also Picante Pace-like salsa and shredded cheddar jack cheese. For those of us who like a little more oomph in our salsa they have a variety of bottles of vinegar based salsa (it's where I found a salsa verda last visit that I fell in love with!) The staff are the best. Housekeeping is friendly, helpful and thorough. The front desk staff are competent, friendly, and quickly move through check in. They greet you every time you enter or exit and they remember your room number if you need things or have requests. Mary, the breakfast lady, however, is the absolute best. She has been the most consistent face over my years at staying at this hotel. She remembers me from visit to visit, she greets me with good will and cheer. I love getting to chat with her about her family when things are slow. She never fails to brighten my day. I am always glad to see her! My only issue is the amount of light that leaks into the room from around the door into the hall (something I suspect is related to building code). I'm spoiled by a very dark room at home, so the light can be too much - next time I'm simply going to bring an eye pillow!
Website says pet friendly… but wanted to make sure everyone was aware … they are not pet friendly… they are only dog friendly, so please specify that you only accept dogs on your website… could have saved me a whole hour and added stress to any already stressful night. We had an emergency last night and had to evacuate our house with our young kids ms cats late at night. We booked through the phone number online. they confirmed they were pet friendly. When we arrived we were turned away because they only accept dogs… not cats. No acceptions… my kids are young, we’re tired and cold, my cats were getting restless in their carriers… I’ve had both dogs and cats my whole life and my cats are very well trained, clean and don’t bark in the middle of the night.
My sister and I had the opportunity to stay at the Garner Hotel over the weekend, and I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience! The staff was wonderful—so kind and welcoming—and even made fresh cookies for our kiddos before they went swimming. They truly made us feel right at home. The rooms look incredible compared to the old Quality Inn style—everything is completely updated and beautiful! Even though we live just five minutes away, this will definitely be my top recommendation for family and friends. It’s truly a home away from home. 10/10 experience!
We stayed there for a WSU family weekend trip. Recently remodeled, the bathrooms are brand new and nice. The staff was super friendly including front desk, housekeepers and breakfast station. The breakfast bar diy burritos were pure genius. They should instate this in all hotels. And loved the instantly ground coffee too! Was a great value.
I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience, largely thanks to Matt. I needed to extend my stay unexpectedly, and Matt made the whole process incredibly easy and stress-free. He was professional, courteous, and went above and beyond to accommodate my request without any hassle. Excellent service – thank you, Matt!
Nice newly IHG hotel in the east side of Spokane. Note it will take about 20-30 min to get to Spokane downtown. The location is quiet and must be up and coming. The hotel is an hotel that was created into an IHG, that being said they are doing a lot of work to the property and it’s getting nicer each day. The staff is fantastic and makes you feel very welcome.
Less expensive than the other IHG hotels in the Spokane WA area. And there is a reason, lol. Much smaller hotel, they are currently under construction as they are remodeling. Everything was just a little bit lower quality. The AC/Heater combo did not work when we got to the room showing it was ERR (in error), when I checked it out the ac head had no power, the GFCI was tripped, after I restored power it worked again thru the night, in the entry to the room, there was a large brown stain on the wall, looked like someone spilled their coffee on the wall and it was never cleaned up. We booked the room for two adults, but we only got one towel. The staff we had interactions with were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was on the smaller side just like everything else. No pancakes or waffles. Basic scrambled eggs and sausage. It was sufficient. Not a bad place to stay. And the price was good, just remember you get what you pay for.
