Guests consistently praise the hotel's friendly staff and convenient downtown location near the Convention Center and Riverfront Park. However, mixed feedback on room comfort highlights issues with outdated features and noise levels from the street and HVAC units.
If you’re looking for that "just right" spot—definitely downtown and walkable to everything, but tucked away from the noise—this is your new home base. The staff and management here are total goals; they don’t just "work" together, they have this awesome family energy that makes you feel welcome the second you walk in. Honestly, the included breakfast is elite and leaves nothing to be desired, especially since they actually have legit gluten-free options. ?The pool and gym are kept sparkling, and having on-site laundry is a total lifesaver for staying fresh. Huge shoutout to the housekeeping crew, too—they are so sweet and their attention to detail is 10/10. Seriously, do yourself a favor and join the rewards program; you rack up points just for sleeping and can flex them at Marriott brands basically anywhere. I'm officially a Marriott loyalists now and won't be staying anywhere else!
Stayed here for our Irish Dance competition at the Spokane Convention Center. It was an easy walk from the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The breakfast was great and had multiple gluten free options which was highly appreciated by my 16 year old with gluten intolerance. The microwaves and fridges in the room were also helpful and everything was very clean.
The Fairfield Inn in downtown Spokane is… fine. Just fine. It’s got big “used to be nice” energy. The single elevator is a bold choice — not one working elevator, mind you, but literally just one for the entire building. The HVAC unit under the window rattled harder than a roll of quarters in a washing machine, so you get a free white noise machine with your stay. Breakfast was what I’d call “minimalist.” They technically serve food, but it’s nothing that’s going to make you write home (or even text a friend). All that said, for one night, it did the job. Clean enough, safe enough, and conveniently located — but this place is long overdue for either a top-to-bottom refresh or a full reincarnation.
This place rocks! Easily the best hotel experience I’ve ever encountered. The girl behind the counter (I think her name was Tiara? No no Teria?) was super friendly and helped us get squared away immediately. 10/10!
Good experience. Seemed like a nice area. Service was excellent at the front desk. The room was super clean. No issues. I would say the room was a little dark. It was super quiet in the hallways.
Worse hotel room in which I have ever stayed in my entire life. The road noise was so loud, I couldn't hear my tv at normal volume. I also had to buy ear plugs so i could sleep. I realize this is only a 3-star hotel, but for $230/night, I expect at least some noise resistant windows. I've stayed at hotels right next to airports and never had near the extreme noise level that this room had. I will not be back. I'm going back to the Hilton properties. On the plus side, front desk staff were good.
Front desk staff was very welcoming! And the rooms were comfortable and clean. Nice desk space to do some work if needed. They offered cookies at the in the evening and breakfast was also good!
I usually don’t have expectations for hotels, but this place blew me away. Whether it was the location right near Riverfront Park and that whole district or the room itself, this is elite living. Shannon checked us in at night and was great. Paul, who is usually the sales manager, was on front desk duty in the morning and afternoon and could not have been nicer. We forgot to get the name of the breakfast person, but she was awesome, making amazing bacon and providing orange juice from the machine that was so freaking good. Do not forget to ask for cookies if they’re not out at night. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating and we had zero problems during our stay. I hope I get to stay here again in the futurewith this management.
I travel for work every other week and I've stayed at many hotels. By far, the service and kindness of the staff really stand out. Specifically, Neesa, was so kind and personable on my arrival and throughout my stay. The older gentleman (didn't get his name), always had a smile when I saw him and offered to help with my bags as I was leaving. What a great group of people you have at this location. It's also close to everything and I appreciate no parking fees. Thanks for making my week-long stay feel more like home!
Our stay at the hotel was good and I was going to book another stay in the next couple of weeks, but I will be looking elsewhere after the conversation I just had with the front desk man. I called the hotel about a charge on my credit card and was told it was for incidentals and would be credited back to my card. That wasn't my issue, the guy talked over me repeatedly when I tried to ask another question. Rude! I'll spend my money at one of the plethora of hotel choices in Spokane.
