Too many problems to list them all. Some highlights: Bugs in the room (see attached photo) Bathroom was dirty and smelled of urine. Glasses we're all dirty and clearly hadn't been cleaned since the previous guest. Toiletries were not stocked. Multiple calls to resolve the issues went unanswered. Was told if I wanted to order in room dining I would have to place the order in person in the restaurant and take it up myself. Constant sound of running water in the room.

The Davenport tower is a hotel that stands out from the rest. The design and decor is something unique and nice to see. The valet & check-in staff were very polite and efficient. My particular room was very refreshing after a long day of travel. The only hiccup I could say that I had was difficulty trying to call the location in advance of my arrival. I wanted to confirm that everything was set. The number in the email confirmation & all listing just rang throughout the day with no greeting or option to transfer. I finally tried a second number later in the day that I looked up myself and got someone to answer. The Spokane area fires had just started days prior, and I was a little uncertain if the hotel was going be open or if they needed my room for other reasons. I did finally speak to someone and confirm that everything would proceed as normal. The Otis brand elevator is always reliable.? I highly recommend you stay at the Davenport Tower when in town. Plenty of access on property and nearby.

The Davenports are supposed to be luxury hotels that offer convenience and professional, top notch service. This used to be the case, but unfortunately no longer is. We waited a VERY long time for valet service twice during our short stay. The first time we waited over 40 minutes! There were a lot of other guests waiting a long time for their cars as well. The second time there were no valet attendants around to get our car. So we tried to get our car ourselves and I called the front desk, but we could not leave until the valet attendant showed up 15 minutes later! Again, too long of a wait. Our experience was the total opposite of what guests expect with valet service. It was highly inconvenient. We came to find out there was only one poor valet employee (we’ll call him A) covering both the Tower AND the Historic on the evening of July 4!! A night when lots of people will be needing their cars….. At $35/night for valet service, it’s highly unprofessional for high end hotels to not have enough employee coverage to meet the needs of guests paying for this convenience-based service. Then the morning we left, a different valet employee (let’s call him B) verbally assaulted my husband, got right in his face threatening him, and telling him that we should not have tried to get our car…..even though we had an emergency. The valet attendant argued that it was not an emergency, and then kept yelling at my husband saying, “next time call an ambulance!” three or four times. It was so bad that another valet employee (we’ll call him C), had to hold him (B) back! Valet attendant B’s behavior was entirely subpar and unacceptable on every level. This is not how employees should EVER treat guests under any circumstance! Our experience was a total fiasco that would have been entirely avoided if only the hotel had adequate valet coverage, which they did not….

I was called to jury duty from Wenatchee. The hotel offered a government rate that (while still pricey) was doable in the short amount of time one had to plan to stay in Spokane. It’s also only four blocks from the courthouse, which was a huge plus. The hotel was flexible with extending days as I had no idea when I would be done. The bed was great and a slept well when I was there.

I can't tell you how disappointed I am. My room wasn't ready when I checked in and I patiently waited. Finally got in. There is a Band-Aid covering the peephole & there was liquid on the ottoman. Used coffee pod in coffee machine. The lineup for check-in was pretty bad and only had a couple people helping. I'm really hoping that it picks up for the rest of my stay. I truly have been looking forward to being here as my parents met here in 1932 and I used to come here as a child. I really expected the service to be top-of-the-line not so much. Also TV has very weak signal. Lose programming regularly. Check out the towels! Even Hotel 6 does better. They tell you they're available at the front desk 24 seven could never get anyone to answer. The phone could not get valet parking to answer the phone so I had to just go there to get my car. So so so disappointed. And then I got my portfolio with my Bill and even though I live in Arizona, they have me living in Bangkok, Thailand! I have yet to receive a return phone call and I’ve had nothing but difficulty trying to send an email. Too much money spent on this crappy experience.

I would not recommend this hotel due to the extremely unprofessional treatment I experienced from front desk manager Shyesta, along with the complete lack of response from interim general manager Marisa Lopez-Fink. During my stay, I attempted to address concerns directly with Shyesta, but her behavior was dismissive, rude, and entirely inappropriate for someone in a customer-facing management role. What made this even more concerning was learning from several colleagues that they refuse to stay at this property specifically because of similar experiences with her. While at the hotel bar, I also overheard another guest expressing complaints regarding her conduct. Clearly, this is not an isolated issue. According to others I spoke with, these same concerns were raised long ago, yet the behavior continues without correction. Equally disappointing was the lack of any response from interim general manager Marisa Lopez-Fink despite three separate attempts to reach her while I was still on property. Ignoring guest concerns at a management level reflects very poorly on hotel leadership and overall customer service standards. I would have given this property one star based solely on management professionalism and guest treatment. The only reason I am not doing so is because the bar staff and food servers were courteous, professional, and provided excellent service throughout my stay.

Our business group occupied three rooms for a week-long stay. What should have been a standard departure turned into a financial nightmare due to front desk incompetence, broken promises, and wrongful penalties. The Issue: We requested an early checkout. Front desk agents verbally confirmed it was processed and explicitly stated we would face no penalty fees. The Trap: Relying on their confirmation, we kept a booking at a sister property. Had staff disclosed the fee, we could have cancelled that second booking for free. The Run-around: One agent admitted she forgot to log our request, and another explicitly promised "no surprises" at checkout. Yet, on departure day, management refused to waive the penalty, forcing us to pay for a night we did not use due to their own internal communication failures. After escalation to Marriott via my corporate travel desk, they regretted for the incident and processed refund. As frequent Marriott loyalists, we have never experienced such an unprofessional ordeal. They displayed zero accountability and ruined our weekend. Avoid this property if you value honest service.

I’m extremely disappointed with my stay. Despite requesting daily cleaning, the room was never cleaned. The only thing housekeeping did was replace the towels and coffee, no actual cleaning was done. As someone who consistently stays with Marriott, this experience was far below the standard I’m used to, and it has made me reconsider ever returning to this particular hotel. To make matters worse, I was charged more than the original reservation rate. That has never happened to me before in all my years of staying at Marriott properties. This stay was truly unacceptable.

This hotel is fine, but it’s not a standout. The whole place has a safari theme, which feels a bit pretentious. The room was spacious, with a very comfortable king bed and great pillows - definitely the best part. The fridge was tiny, and the Keurig coffee maker worked fine, but nothing special. The bathroom was nice, but the shower had a slight problem - it kept spiking to boiling hot every 30 seconds or so. The front desk was a mixed bag - one person was friendly, but the card they gave me for the parking garage kept failing, so I had to go back repeatedly to get a new one. Parking garage is $28 a day, or $35 for valet in that same garage. There’s a vending machine in the basement with medical supplies, which is super convenient, but about five times the normal price. Overall, it was just an okay stay: nothing that blew me away.

Check in was a breeze. The room was clean, but a disappointment. They let us know that it was recently renovated, but I get the impression "renovated" didn't mean "ready." The fridge didn't work. The TV and/or remote didn't work. There was no toilet paper (though they brought it up quick!). The fireplace was a nice visual touch, but didn't seem to actually generate any heat. The washcloths were stained. There was still tape on the wall from the fresh paint. We were woken early to the footsteps of someone above us. The cherry on top was the shower running cold the next morning. The view was beautiful and almost redeeming, but not quite. The overall experience was underwhelming for the cost and we will not be back.
