I recently stayed here as I was in town visiting my sister who was in the hospital. First off, I must say, who would put a smoke alarm outside the bathroom when there isn’t even a fan in the bathroom to turn on while taking a shower, doesn’t make sense to me! Also, the bathroom sink doesn’t drain very well, and the bath tub drain had hair caught in it, and now let’s talk about the mini fridge, well I refer to it as an easy bake oven, no room to put anything in there, and in all the hotels I have ever stayed in, never seen a mini fridge that small. Oh, and yes, what they call, “free shuttle”, well it isn’t for everyone, as you have to be a VIP, ( VERY IMPORTANT PERSON), which apparently I am not!

We visited Spokane, WA for the first time during the Memorial Day long weekend (23 to 24th June 2026) and booked a one-night stay at DoubleTree by Hilton with our family. The location is excellent, and the room was very clean and neat. The hotel parking area has Tesla and other EV charging stations, which was very convenient for us. After check-in, the receptionist offered complimentary cookies, and they were very yummy :-) The hotel is located on the riverfront, adjacent to the Convention Center, making the surroundings very pleasant. There is also a Chili’s restaurant (I believe, currently only one restraurant running across USA) right across from the hotel, and we had a wonderful dinner there. Overall, the service was good, and we truly enjoyed our trip and stay.

Checked in on Sat May 16. Our 1st room toilet wouldn't flush. Took the top off & the latch inside kept coming off everytime you'd try to flush. Went to call the front desk, phone was unplugged. Then the buttons didn't work for front desk. Went down to ask for another room. 2nd room was same style room but the shower tub paint was literally peeling completely off as we were looking at it. Phone worked this time, called for a new room. They said all they have in the same style is accessibility room & all the others are dirty. Checked out the 3rd room & decited no. They ended up giving us a smaller 4th room which had no problems & $50 to the hotel restaurant which we got fries & brussel sprouts that were both completely burnt. Wasn't a good experience TBH. Especially for a Hilton.... Oh also the panel for the seperated elevator is falling off & the lighting in the rooms suck. No ceiling lights?!? Who has one maid for an entire hotel especially when there was a parade & more events going on. Bad planning.

Pros: Great location, right on the river and walkable to everything in downtown. Clean and quiet room. Friendly staff. Easy parking in the adjacent garage for an extra $30. Cons: AC unit was disassembled but functional. Shower head is about 5ft tall, so expect to crouch during your shower. Shower drain backed up immediately to a bit more than ankle-deep standing water.

My daughter recently stayed at DoubleTree (Hilton) City Center in Spokane and left her Kindle in the hotel. We called the hotel and were put through to Alex Chapman, who was in charge of housekeeping and he went through the entire hotel and finally found it, offered to ship it, and ensured that it got back to us safe and sound. He was so friendly and helpful and really went out of his way to help us, when he didn't have to. It was so refreshing to be be treated this way by a hotel and would recommend DoubleTree in Spokane to anyone! Thank you so much for helping us Alex!

Long time Diamond member and day light savings/spring forward a hour. Wouldn’t even give us the hour we lost for late checkout. Been here 3 days and room was never serviced before 1 pm but today all rooms simultaneously getting cleaned at 11 am. ? Brand loyalty don’t get you nothing. Disregard they took care of us.

I had a wonderful late night dinner with friends in the steakhouse. Jocelyn took great care of us and we loved her joyful spirit! Highly recommend!

Had a pretty good stay. Beautful space and good service. The AC/heat kept shutting off (im assuming a timer) so the room was frustrating to wake up at 3 sweating to death. Other thing that was notable was we got a room that slept three people (listed on the website) but when we arrived there was no spot for the 3rd person (a kid) so at midnight we had to go back down to ask for a roll away bed that then was ann additional 25/night. Which, while annoying since the rooma advertised it, we were happy to pay for. Ended up being waved as there was a delay in delivery due to a security issue in the building. Definitely one off experience im sure, but for anyone else traveling with a 3rd person in the corner room upgrade be sure to check in the roller bed before the middle of the night.

The renovated rooms are done superficially without attention to detail. A lot of the old room details still exist and look sloppy. (eg, Renovated bathroom--- but the ceiling wasn't painted and includes disgusting yellow spots and hair. The OG popcorn ceilings also still exist in the rooms.) The biggest issue, though, is temperature control. The HVAC is on heat AND cool, not one or the other. You can't set a range. Once the heat reaches the temp you want, the A/C kicks on and freezes the room several degrees below what you set the heat at. For example, I set it to 71 and the AC brought it down to 67. In winter. It just repeats --- heat until barely warm enough and then freezing you out. It's horrible. The windows are also not renovated---- They are incredibly drafty and freezing this time of year. If you turn the assault HVAC off, the room is instantly frigid. I could look past the nasty ceilings if I was warm....

We stayed top floor (15) during the NYE celebration in a king suite. The skyline views, room cleanliness, and overall experience was above expectations for our party. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. We got stuck momentarily in the elevator, as they are aged but were able to get unstuck & out safely. We understood the age of this hotel when we booked but were surprised at how well they have maintained the space, it is very clean and feels very modern. Staff at breakfast & in room dinner had amazing attitudes & focused on every detail. Amazing experience staying over the Holiday! Thank you to those who dedicated their holidays to serving, your hard work did not go unnoticed.
