The front desk woman, Abbie, was great. She is sweet, patient, and kind. The location is downtown Spokane where you'll see a lot of homeless. I stayed in room is 120 (avoid this room if you book!) Unfortunately it's parked right between the stairway and outside door where a tone of foot traffic is passing through, with doors stamming continually. A rule I try to go by is always go higher budget, if you can. A lot of guests with extended families. The lobby looked like a family reunion.

It was decent. No vending machines although they did sell snacks and soda starting at the low price of $4.°°! There is a 7-11 across the street!!! You're taking your life into your own hands though! If you own a gun you'll probably want it on your person!

Staff were nice and rooms were pretty good. I thought the breakfast was pretty weak compared to similar properties like the various Hyatt Places I have stayed at. The eggs in particular were not good and the yogurt was some brand I have never seen. The homeless at the 7-11 across the street posed no real problem, but the announcement over the loud speakers at 7-11 about no loitering was bothersome. As a platinum member I would have expected to be put on the side of the hotel that does not overlook that 7-11. So a decent option overall, but I just can't give it four stars.

The location itself is fine. It's gated so it feels safer. There are a lot of homeless people around so make sure you don't leave anything in your cars. The first thing we noticed when we walked into the room was the strong unpleasant smell of either cleaners or room freshener. We couldn't open any windows, and the fan wasn't working, so we had to make due with what her had. The outlet on the wall next to the bed couldn't hold the charging block. Would not want to come back to this hotel. The food was pleasant, and we appreciated the hard work of the hotel staff.

The hotel was fine itself. Front desk people were nice and patient. When I got to my room, it was dirty, the carpet was wet and smelt like mold, the bathroom sink never drained and made the bathroom smell, the tv volume didn’t work at all, the air conditioning in the room didn’t work well, tried turning the ac on, it only blew hot air. The kitchen/breakfast customer service was not good, I let the kitchen/ breakfast lady know something was gone, I said thank you for refilling what I requested, completely ignored me and walked away. overall the breakfast was good.

Very nice room and motel. Yes shady characters but the motel is wonderful. They have security driving around people and their property are safe. Staff is wonderful. Very clean and friendly I will stay again

The La Quinta Hotel in downtown Spokane, WA was okay inside. The service was also decent. However, there were many drug addicts and thieves loitering outside. When a wallet was stolen in the hotel lobby, the hotel did not report it to the police. The thief was also caught on camera. When I notified the police, they said they wouldn't come to the hotel to collect the video evidence; they told the hotel to send the video online to the police. After many phone calls to the hotel and the police, nobody did anything to investigate and catch the robber. Nobody is doing anything, and the criminals are becoming even more brazen.

Hali at the front desk was great! The room, not so much. The first room had a soiled bed spread, Hali was quick to move us. The second one had issues too, but we were tired and made it work. The beds were uncomfortable, the mattress covers were noisy, and the paper products were rough. As for the "secure" parking lot, it's not. The back gate was left open all night in a part of town that has a very high presence of transients. I used rewards points for a free nights stay, if I had paid for the room I would've been asking for a credit. The location was close to our venue and our event was a late night show. We gave them a chance because the ratings were decent, wouldn't stay here again.

Decent clean hotel, rough area. Would consider staying again if it continues to be less expensive than alternatives. Pros: *Ample fenced in parking *Hotel in decent condition- not great, but not dilapidated *Pet friendly *Offers free breakfast Cons: *one of the worst areas in town- like watching the police get called to the 711 bad. The hotel property itself seems ok. I probably wouldn't bring kids. *Even though breakfast is free, it was too gross to eat- think powdered eggs and thick coffee. *I was shocked to see the breakfast staff put out a tip box, as they aren't serving you, breakfast is included, and the food wasn't good. *Beds are firm and like sleeping on a box. Pillows lumpy and inconsistent. *Difficult to regulate room temp. 78 was freezing and 73 was hot at times.

We stayed here due to Wyndam rewards and proximity to children's hospital. We werent sure what to expect since it was downtown and there is a lot of homelessness in the area. The property, the parking lot, and hotel was secure. The room was nice, the breakfast was good, and staff was friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
